Communication between the school and home is so important.  Here are the ways that I choose to communicate with parents of my students.  There are many options and you can choose what works best for your life and schedule!!

Newsletters:  I send a newsletter every other Friday.  This will have a little bit of information about what we have been working on in class as well as important dates and reminders. Each student will receive this paper newsletter so look for it in their Friday Folder or Backpack.

BLOOMZ: I have new communication piece this year. It is a smart phone/tablet/computer app or website that I use to track behavior, homework, and to send messages and share what’s happening during the school day.
I will be showing a presentation of what it is and how it works at open house.  YOU can download the app and check it out right away. The first week of school I sent home a sheet with directions and your personal codes on it.  If you need them please contact me right way and I will send them to you.
Email: sgruber@csschools.net

I can’t wait to start sharing our day with you!

Email: I have collected email addresses from many parents.  If you have email you can send me a quick email to my address: sgruber@csschools.net or just send in your email address with your child.  I often can whip out a quick email to one parent if there are concerns or I have questions and you can respond at your leisure.  Phone calls are very difficult to make during the school day so I find email to be a wonderful communication tool.

Phone Calls: I do often have to make phone calls home, especially if you don't have access to email.  I do have a direct phone line into my classroom and you can call it  as needed.  I also have voice mail that I try to check once per or twice per day.  Usually in the morning and once after school.

NOTES:  Notes to and from school are another great way to communicate, when the message isn't urgent and we can wait for a response.

**Please feel free to call, email, send a note anytime you have a question or concern! I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can during or after the school day.
